Suggest Treatment For Severe Dizziness

I am experiencing dizziness to the point that I cnat stand up. However, I attribute this to Floxetine, the only rescribtions med I take. I might mention that I also suffer from CLL. I haven t taken Fluoxetine for a couple of days aa small amount of dizzeiness I still fell a small amount of dizziness off and on. What do I do?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe dizziness . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like migraines , head injury , certain medications and due to cervical spondylosis , middle ear infection , some kind of growth in middle ear or fluid in middle ear ( Meniere's disease ) . But in your case the symptoms can also be due to the fluoxetine . I would suggest you to consult your doctor and discuss the condition with him /her . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute . If condition doesn't get well then consult ENT specialist . Doctor will examine with otoscope , order CT scan posturography , rotatory chair test and prong test . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug , sedatives , antibiotics and recommend vertibular therapy and physical therapy . For now i would like to suggest you some home remedies drink green tea with ginger thrice a day and drink lots of fluids like juices and water . Avoid caffeine product .
