Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For weeks now I have been getting an earache in my left ear, which occurs from about 3.30pm onwards, but for the last couple of nights after a few hours I am feeling really quite ill and I feel it affects my left eye and in my jaw and I have to go to bed. In the morning I have no symptoms and can carry on a normal day until around the 3.30pm when it starts all over again. Hope you can advise. Thank you Sharon
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe ear pain which is due to trigeminal neuralgia, ear wax accumulation, ear fluid accumulation and fungal infection in ear. Sometimes it could be due to infection of upper respiratory tract infection that has spread to ear through Eustachian tube. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis. You should go for otoscopic examination. Maintain complete hygiene. You should avoid excessive use of mobile from that side. Take antibiotic along with anti-inflammatory medication. Apply warm compresses on ear. Put ciplox or gatiflox ear drops. Avoid touching or pricking it with sharp object.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
