Suggest Treatment For Severe Fatigue In An Elderly Person
My mom 88 y.o. Gets extreme debilitating fatigue every day in am, after starting breakfast. Fatigue goes away gradually after a few hrs. Pulse is in 90 s sometimes low 100 s. Has afib. Bp is 130/85. On cardizem 120 mg. Episodes started after recovering from bad cold a few weeks ago.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Severe fatigue could occur generally due to anaemia as a result of low hemoglobin content in blood. Kindly get your blood checked for complete blood count along with peripheral blood smear. Kindly take iron supplements in the form of capsules and iron rich foods regularly so that you can overcome symptoms of fatigue gradually and maintain good health.
