Suggest Treatment For Severe Fever And Sore Throat
Had a brief sore throat followed by 2 days of high fever 101+. Currently have large red welts on hands and feet that were very itchy and nerves are raw on hands and feet. I m 50 year old woman. Strep test came back No GROWTH. On cephalexin for 3 days.

Hello,
It is due to inflammation or infection of the throat.
Do warm saline gargles, take antibiotics, preferably amoxclav.
Paracetamol can be taken thrice daily basis to control fever.
If symptoms persist better to consult an ENT specialist and plan for a throat swab.
