Suggest Treatment For Severe Fever And Stiff Neck When Diagnosed With Laryngitis
I woke up Thursday morning with Laryngitis and was very achy. I visited my doctor that afternoon. They did flu test (negative), listened to my chest and looked at my throat and ears. He said I had laryngitis and there wasn't any medicine he could give me to help. Since then my fever has stayed between 99 and 101, going up and down throughout the day. Now my voice seems to be coming back some, but I am now tonight I have just started with a stiff neck, which does seem to ease some with a moist hot compress. Should I go back to the doctor tomorrow?
As a physician I would like to tell you that according to your symptoms and history your doctors treated you right. But, neck stiffness is quite a serious issue which needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Thus, I would suggest that you visit your consulting physician as soon as possible.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Abhijeet
