Suggest Treatment For Severe Fever Caused By Dengue
Hi my wife is suffering from dengue and typhoid from last 5 days, however she don t have fever from last 2 days. Today morning checked the platelets count it is 76000 and evening admitted in hospital now platelets count is 42000 . Now her menstrual cycle also started. .Please advise

Since the platelet count is decreasing, the doctor will mostly advise for platelet infusion to stabilise the platelet count and to prevent bleeding.
During menstruation, the flow may be heavy leading to severe dysmenorrhoea however if it is managed efficiently it can be taken care of. She should restrict to only pain killers like acetaminophen if required and no other pain killers.
