I am 60 yr old femaleI have had a fever of 101 for the last 2 days. I am very sleepy, dizzy and little nauseated at times and all my muscles hurt. I was working in some bark dust the other day and I think I over did it. My chest hurts but other that that I have no cold or any other symptoms. Could I have overworked my body
Fever is a symptom of an underlying disease. There are many causes of fever such as malaria, typhoid, infectious mononucleosis, TB, Dengue etc. Advice 1. Azithromycin 500 mg daily per oral for 3 days 2. Paracetamol 500 mg per oral if fever occurs 3. Cold water sponging if fever is more than 100 degree Farenheight 4. Investigations – CBC, Widal test, blood smear for malarial parasite, and dengue NS1 antigen Thanks
