Hello sir..i am from karachi and i am having hair fall for 2 to 3 years..my tsh level is normal n my cbc reports are also normal i just have vitamin D deficiency..i have tried every thing on my hair like egg yougurt mustrd oil coconut oil herbal oil..my my hairfall is getting worst day by day i have consulted to 2 dermatologist but there prescribed medicines didnt work on my hairfall..now i am using minidoxil 5% hair vit capsules cosderm shampoo..nothng is workng i am getting baldness on my scalp plz help me plz..i am really worried as my hait used to be very thick and voluminous..and i would like to share i have irritable bowel syndrome and acid peptic disease..thanku and i am 22 years old n female

As per your query you have symptoms of severe hair fall despite using Minoxidil 5% which could be due to inadequate nutrition intake, poor hygiene, stress, change in environment, seborrheic dermatitis of scalp and inflammatory reaction as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to - Do not scratch your skin and apply corticosteroid cream . - Do massage with olive oil. - Take combination of biotin and calcium pantothenate on daily basis. - Use over-the-counter anti-dandruff products, such as shampoo with pyrithione zinc or antifungal ketoconazole. If condition doesn t get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe shampoos or ointments containing hydrocortisone, fluocinolone, oral antifungal like terbinafine or antibacterial like metronidazole . Hope your concern has been resolved.
