Suggest Treatment For Severe Hair Loss, High WBC Count And Fatigue
Hi I have handfuls of hair falling out each day although no bald patches to date. I have a high white blood cell count and last year I had treatment to remove severe pre cancerous cells from my cervix. I am very fatigued and have put weight on recently and felt very low anxious and stressed recently. I am 48 years old. I have had my thyroid checked and there is no issues with it. I have no infections either.
The hair fall can be due to many reasons specially if you are on any specific medication for a long time or stress. As you mentioned increased WBC count, I suggest get yourself examined by a physician. With history of cancer, I also suggest consulting your gynecologist once again. Make sure you do regular follow ups.
Fatigue is common in many illnesses. Although to know the exact reason behind it, the best thing you can do is visit your doctor and get yourself examined. The doctor might suggest few more tests for clear understanding. Do not panic. Discuss the current issues with your doctor and it will be managed well with appropriate treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
