Suggest Treatment For Severe Head Cold, Deafness And Ringing In Left Ear
I had a nasty head cold about 4 weeks ago, about 2 days after the cold cleared up I woke up to complete deafness in only my left ear. About 2 days after the deafness occurred the ringing then started. I experienced pain in my ear when I yawned and burped, I also notice that the ringing gets a lot louder if I clench my jaw or open my mouth. The deafness and pain has completely disappeared but the ringing has persisted. It still gets louder when I clench my jaw or yawn and open my mouth. What s wrong with me? Thank you
Hello, Welcome to the HCM. These signs could be because of ear infection ,otitis media.Since throat and ear are connected through a tube (eustachian tube) so infection in any can pass to eachother and viceversa.Since sometime otitis media resolves itself completly and sometimes need antibiotic to treat ,otherwise causes suppuration or fluid accumulation or even inner ear infection which could be causing ringing signs. I would suggest get checked by ENT doctor and discuss further it is inner ear problem or just a infection and wax accumulation ;so it can be treated accordingly. Regards.
