Suggest Treatment For Severe Headache With Neck Stiffness And Dizziness

I fell down some stairs 1 month ago- no immediate head pain although I did strike my head resulting in a small cut. About a week ago, I developed a severe headache in the upper right side of my head and some neck stiffness and dizziness. What medical specialty should I see to diagnose my problem- neurologist? I have had an MRI , CAT scan, cervicle X-rays and all are negative according to the radiologist.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to occipital neuralgia.

For further assessment you may require MRI neck and nerve conduction studies after neurosurgeon consultation.

You may require tablet Pregabalin and multivitamin.

Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition.

For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen

Hope I have answered your query and let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale
