Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 13 year old daughter suddenly had a severe headache last Friday. She had chills then developed a fever of 101.6. She had the fever from Friday night thru Saturday afternoon, then the fever starting going down. She then complained of a sore throat and drainage down her throat. Temp pretty much normal around 99 from Saturday night all through Sunday. Still had sore throat. Sunday night she started complaining that her finger hurt and it was somewhat red. By this afternoon (Monday) she has several red spots on hands, elbows, face, feet. No fever. Spots do not itch. She has complained to being tired alot the last couple of weeks.
I think she should go to doctor to check tonsils. He will flash a light in mouth to check if tonsils are infected and if antibiotics are needed. She may need to use anti-inflammatory drugs such Advil or Acetaminophen for pain relief and fever. The headache comes as a result of fever.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
