I am having severe headache (mainly starting from back side of head) during urination and the effect lasts for few minutes after urination. This has been happening since a week or so. My past history is I have had a urethra stricture five years back and I had hospitalized.

Hi, thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. If your pain is only occurring while micturition, it could be due to painful difficult urination.
You are having past history of urethral stricture. The stricture has a tendency of constriction again and agin, if regular dilatation of urethra is not done. I don't know about your follow up and regular dilatation . You can provide details of it by asking another question. That would be very helpful.

Headache can occur with stricture urethra if you strain severely. It leads to spasm of muscle to force out urine through narrow segment. Another reason could be urinary tract infection, It manifests as burning micturition, foul smelling urine, pyuria, fever.
Consult urologist for evaluation and dilatation. Urine culture is needed to confirm. Treatment is antibiotics and painkiller.

Hope it will help. Thanks. Take care
