General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

I cannot evaluate the exact cause without an examination hut an elevated uric acid level could be plausible. If she is taking a medication containing allopurinol then this is the most probable cause. A chang in diet is mandatory so please discuss her diet with a nutritionist. Also get an xray conducted and also rule out conditions like hallux valgus which are not related to the heel, but more due to the use of improperly fitted footwear.

Best wishes.
