Suggest Treatment For Severe Hip Pain

doc Im a 74 yr old male ,on a diet.Im eating approx 650 calories a day to get rid of extra weight.Im 235 lbs 5ft 8in I need a new right hip and they dont want to do the operation till my BMI is 30.My bp is 94/55.Im on losartan potassium 100mg.Ive cut this by 75 percent to 25mg. but as you can see my bp is still low.Ito is this to low?I saw my GP last tues and he didnt seam worried. Ive lost approx 46 lbs and i feel great except for a lot of hip pain.Is this ok?

Hello,

Blood pressure is definitely on lower side and before going for surgery you should get a basic cardiac evaluation done which includes an ECG and echocardiography to check if your heart is functioning properly. For hip pain you can take pain killers SOS and use a supporting belt.
