Suggest Treatment For Severe Itchiness And Hearing Loss In The Ear

My daughter has sudden complaint of having no hearing in one ear, after having itched it with her finger. Denies having any ringing of the ears or pain. She had only an itch prior to hearing loss. Not on any medications, and overall health is great. No cold or illness. Wondering what is cause?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seema that she has got traumatic injury to the ear drum while itching vigorously causing injury to Ear drum which can also lead to inflammation or perforation of ear drum..
You should immediately consult an ENT expert and get her evaluated and along a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
For Inflammation and mild perforation she can be advised to take antibiotics, Anti-inflammatory painkiller, Steroid and decongestant Oral and nasal..
Put antibiotic ear drops..
As of now avoid loud sound exposure, excessive water exposure and do not try to pop the eat to open it up..
In case if she has got a larger perforation surgical patching has to be done..
Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
