Hi,
I am sorry this happened to you. I've seen
dry skin in the winter, especially around the legs, in many patients and always recommend that patients keep well hydrated (drink a lot) and use an unscented, mild lotion on their skin every day, especially on dry, itchy skin.
I also have seen many cases of
eczema and allergies. It is usually a hard nut to crack. In your case it seems to have progressed from just dry, itchy skin to eczema on your whole body? To wholly assess your question, I need more information: Are there any changes that pre-dated the start of the itching and red spots? Did you move? Get or have a pet? change your diet? Any other diseases or medications you are on? How old are you? Any opioids? Any allergies you are aware of? Does eczema, allergies or
atopic dermatitis run in your family? What did you try? I assume all kinds of
cortisone creams and topical creams, but what else? Do you taking anti-itch medication as pills too?
I am very interested in your case and would love to hear from you, maybe even upload pictures? I would need to be able to see exactly how the sores or patches look. It seems you are in a bad situation right now. I would love to help. Let me know if I can explain more or help more.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Christine Sauer
