General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that the symptoms are related to liver disease. Other cause of generalized itching are thyroid disease, infection (Eg scabies), allergic reaction, kidney disease.

You would need blood tests to assess the liver, kidney and thyroid.
There are also allergy blood tests as well.

The use of an oral antihistamine, topical steroid and a cream like calamine lotion, may help with the itching.

I hope this helps
