Suggest Treatment For Severe Itching In The Throat

I was treated for cellulitis on my leg, I broke out with hives. Treated for reaction to sulphate antibiotic. The steroids seemed like it was helping. But now spots were I had hives is a lot worse. Was told to take Allerga. Well I take benadryl as well, still very itchy so itchy I wake up scratching. Was given 2.5 cortisone cream. Nothing seems to help. Help

I understand your concern.
You seem to have severe allergy to Sulpha drugs.
* In such a condition usually , anti allergic medicine like Allegra you were advised three times a day after food along with steroids in tapering dose ( like Betnasol pill 6-5-4-3-2-1.) are given till the allergic cycle is broken. Take it with your doctor's advise & guidance,
More severe allergies ( breathlessness )need inject able / Iv infusion of steroids are needed after admission.
* hereafter make it a point to inform the treating doctor about your sulpha drug allergy in future.
