Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My jaw hurts when I close my mouth and feel like my right side close more than the other. I can t sleep on my back but have to sleep on my sides and stomach to get a good night sleep. I did have a filling a long time ago and I m not sure if it have anything to do with it.
Your symptoms are appearing to be due to problems with the jaw joint or TMJ. With the explanation the TMJ is appearing to be dislocated. So my suggestion is to consult a TMJ Specialist or an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated.. A Panoramic x ray has to be done to rule out the exact cause of the problem.. If the TMJ is dislocated it has to be manually or surgically brought back into its normal anatomical position.. For now if there is pain take painkillers like Ibuprofen along with muscle relaxants.. Take soft diet..
Hope this helps.
Regards
