Suggest Treatment For Severe Knee Pain Along With Unusual Cramps
So I ve been having a lot of problems lately. Since I quit cheerleading a few years ago, I ve noticed that I ve been having a lot of pain in my knees. Especially my left since I was a left-handed gymnast. Also, at night, I ve been having weird cramps in my knee an lower area to where I just can t sleep. And it only bothers me at night. I ve also been aching all over a lot lately as well.
Can you mention you age, and any history of injury to the joints in the past? Any swelling there or feeling or cracks/pops while moving the joint? Knee pain can be from many causes.
Pain in both knees(may be more on one side) in a post-middle aged person is most commonly caused by osteo-arthritis.
Kindly discuss with an orthopedist, as the details given here are not sufficient to point out a particular diagnosis.
Meanwhile take paracetamol when necessary for pain, engage in muscle strengthening exercise and have a diet rich in calcium and vitamin D(essential for bone and joint health).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam TK
