Suggest Treatment For Severe Knee Pain

I have pain on the inside of the knee that prevents me from exercising and sleep. This started about 4 months ago. About 1 month ago, the pain had subsided for 2 weeks. Now it is back in full force. It s painful to walk and climb stairs. Due to lack of money, I need to try to use a home remedy. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank-you, Beth

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and thank you for your question.
Try taking some motrin or aleve on a regular basis for about two weeks unless you have some condition that prevents you from using those medications like ulcers, high blood pressure or bleeding problems. Also use warm compresses on the knee 3-4 times a day for 15 minutes and use an Ace wrap on it while you are up and moving around. You do not need to sleep with it.
I hope it clears up soon.
Regards,
Dr. Robinson
