Suggest Treatment For Severe Leg Cramps

I am having severe cramps in my legs from my knees down. The last couple of nights have been horrible. When I try to stretch one out, it starts another one. I also have a metal like taste in my mouth. I am taking prednisone 5mg for tendentious in my right leg.

Hi. Thanks for posting on hcm.
Usually leg cramps are most commonly seen in conditions like dehydration , electrolyte imbalance, low calcium levels in body , thyroid related and any exposure to cold.
I recommend you to take more fluids and get the test for electrolytes calcium and thyroid done to see if any of these causing cramps. If cramps appear due to expksure to cold avoid cold environments.
If all the above turns to be normal consult a doctor for thorough examination.
if you are smoker then it could also be a cause for the cramps in the legs .
