Suggest Treatment For Severe Leg Pain

I have severe Leg pain that woke me up from a deep sleep about an hour ago. It hurts so bad I can t even walk. It s in both legs and hurts from my hips to my feet. What could this be? I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and mild degeneration in a few disks but not anything major. All that happened in the last 6 months. My pain management Doctor does not have an on call Doctor option

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Severe leg cramps with fibromyalgia condition depicts the reason as part of systemic presentation of the fibromyalgia only. My guidelines at present:
- Local application of heating pad
- Analgesic spray or ointment containing diclofenac, menthol etc
- addition of zinc, multi vitamins, minerals, anti oxidants and vitamin-E to your drug basket over and above the analgesic medicines
- Regular walking, assisted physiotherapy

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
