Suggest Treatment For Severe Leg Pain

Hello, I been having pain in my legs from a really long time. It started it when I was 8 or 9 years old. I went to a doctor and he told me it was just because of the cold. Now I m 16 and the pain has gotten worse. Now is not only my legs but my knees, arms and sometimes fingers. I m really scared because my mom passed away from bone cancer. Is it possible that I might have it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You need to have a detailed rheumatologist review and get baseline rheumatological work up. Inflammatory markers like ESR and CRP alongside CPK, LDH etc may be needed.

Also, muscle biopsy as well as electrolytes levels and thyroid profile etc may also be needed. Calcium, D3 B12 and folic acid levels should also be done.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
