Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I am having sharp pains in my left lower abdomen-pelvic area. They last about 1-2 minutes and go away. Sometimes when I m asleep, sometimes when I m sitting or standing. No real pattern to when they happen. I try deep breathing to relieve them and it the pain is worse at first, but it seems to help the pain go away. Any ideas?
I would like to know few more things like if the pain is associated with nausea, vomiting, is it of radiating type- radiation to back and groin; so as to know if it is an ureteric colic. I would also like to know if you are a female and that have you missed any periods- if so i would recommend you to get a urine pregnancy test done so as to rule our any ectopic pregnancy. I would suggest you to do an ultrasound abdomen and to consult a doctor for further management.
Please revert back to us for any further queries. Thank you
