General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to muscle sprain. For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen. Heating pads also helps. Apply diclofenac gel or ointment locally. Do regular physical therapy. In case of not getting relief you may require MRI back after consultation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
