Hi,
Without your age and other associated details of what precipitated the pain its hard to give a solution. Radiating back pain can be due to a muscle pull which can be relieved by taking ibuprofen available over the counter. Make sure you take the medication after food as it has propensity to inducel stomach ulcers. Try to remember of any condition that could have caused the pain.
The worse could be a disc herniation in the vertebral column which can cause similar pain. I would advise you to have an xray done and get it evaluated by a PCP and taking ibuprofen as a symptomatic measure. You can even try topical gels and sprays for pain relief.
