Suggest Treatment For Severe Lower Back Pain

I need complete knee replacement, but haven t been able to afford to go into the hospital to get the procedure done. Had a set surgery date in early March, but doctor and hospital required too much up-front money for me to do it. Now, for the past 3 weeks I have been in severe pain in my lower back (also left side), down into my upper left buttock. Can t hardly stand, can t hardly walk, and can t hardly sleep. My family physician thinks it is joint pain and has prescribed Meloxicam, but it is not working. Can my lower back be killing me because of my left knee being out-of-line??? Thanks, Patty Hullett

Hi, I have gone through your question. I can understand the pain you are going through and would like to help you out.
Yes, the backache can be secondary to your knee pain. It is because change in your walking style, sitting habits.
There can be separate spine related problem also, that we need to rule out by MRI/CT scan.
It Meloxicam is not working then you can take simple pain killers like paracetamol and tramadol.
I would like to suggest that you arrange the money as early as possible and go for the surgery
