Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi starting about two years ago have had a headache every day usually migraine headaches. over the past year the pain has spread to my neck and back. the last few days it is in my ribs and hips. Its gotten so bad i can even sleep in my bed without waking up in severe pain. Every doctor i have seen have given me naproxen and sent me on my way because i have taken them so much i have built up a tolerance and nothing helps anymore. I have no idea what this could be and i really need to know. what can i do to make doctors actually believ that i am in pain and not just send me home?
Hello! Thanks for choosing Healthcaremagic for your query.
It's something weird to know that migraine headache is causing pain in regions other than head such as hips, ribs, back and neck. It can be something else other than migraine such as rheumatoid arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis. I recommend you to visit a rheumatologist who may advice tests such as RA factor, Anti-CCP antibodies, ANA test that can help in diagnosing above mentioned conditions.
Hope you find this information helpful.
Good Bye for now!
