Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have migraine headaches, but for the last four days I have gotten a sharp stabbing pain about an inch above my hairline above right eye. It is sudden and lasts only a couple of seconds. It makes this spot sore to the touch for a while after the pain. I ve had migraine headaches that would wake me out of a dead sleep, I d find myself sitting up in the bed, and this would only lasts a second or two, then generally I d be able to go back to sleep. I mention this because the sharp stabbing pain would be much the same as I am getting now for the last four days. These pains have all occurred in the latter afternoon to early evening. Should I try to have this looked at somehow?
As you are already diagnosed with a migraine, you can take tab. Brufen for pain after consultation. Keep yourself hydrated and take proper rest. To prevent such attack in future you can take tab. Propranolol after consultation. Avoid sudden exposure to noise, light, stress etc.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale,
