General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

For bipolar mood disorder, the commonly used medication is lithium. It is very effective as well. I suggest you to continue lithium medication for prescribed duration. It will take some days to show improvement.

The counselling will also help in such condition. If no improvement after few days then I would suggest further medication.

Hope this will help you.
