Hello,

Muscle cramps can be caused by excessive strain placed on leg muscles, (such as when exercising, that may cause the muscles to cramp at certain times) or a sudden restriction in the blood supply to the affected muscles.

Muscle cramps, can be extremely painful. In some cases, a muscle may spasm so forcefully that it results in a bruise on the skin like in your case. The majority of leg cramps are idiopathic and harmless, but some may result from underlying illnesses such as diabetes or peripheral artery disease.

If your muscle cramp is not disappeared, I suggest to stretch the cramped muscle and gently massage it with chamomile essential oil. You can also use a warm towel or heating pad on tense muscles of the affected area.

If the symptom persist or the bruise do not disappear within a couple of days, I suggest to consult physically your local doctor for the right diagnosis and treatment.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
