Suggest Treatment For Severe Neck And Shoulder Pain

I have extremely painful pinched nerve in neck and have started taking prednisone. I am on 30 mg of lisinopril daily but B/P is still staying around 168/100. Not sure what to do...we live in NC but are vacationing in FL til end of March. Can t make car ride back home with the severe neck & shoulder pain. I also have history of pancreatitis. Any suggestions?

Anesthesiologist 's  Response
Hello,

You need to be thoroughly examined to know which nerve would be compressed and in which region. Maybe brachial plexus injury is a doubt. But nothing can be told so vaguely without examination. I can guide for the best treatment for your symptoms.

Since you say steroids also not helping your pain, then you can go for nerve blocks. But which nerve block will help you relieve pain has to be examined.

Kindly go to a pain clinic which is the best place where you get all kinds of relief for your pains. It is a clinic run by anaesthesiologist like me specialized in pain medicine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
