Suggest Treatment For Severe Neck Pain After A Jiu-jitsu Practice Session

I was doing jiu jitsu trying to defend a choke from behind by turning my head towards their connecting hand. I had to do this quite a few times throughout the hour, in addition to other rolling, so I m not sure when exactly it happened, I didn t really feel it during practice because of heat and adrenaline, but after practice, my neck started hurting like crazy, and couldn t turn my head, it hurt just existing. It took a week for me to even be able to turn my head past 45 degrees. The pain is along the right side of my neck, and running into my trapezius, but hurts the most somewhat close to my spine around where my traps/shoulder starts. Occasionally the pain subsides a bit when I do strength training, other times it makes it worse. That was six months ago, and I still have the pain, even almost to the extent of the original injury at times. It s likely some kind of muscle strain, but it has been bothering me for way too long. What do I do?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
hi from your history it appears that you had a muscle injury 6 months back where some fibres of muscles must have been damaged. This issue should have been taken care of at that time itself with some anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxants and rest to affected area. Well now also you should seek a doctors consultation in person for physical examination and probably similar medication will be given to you but for duration depending on the response to treatment. The treatment modalities offered shall be among pain killers which can reduce inflammation also, musle relaxants, local analgesics, vitamin and micronutrient supplement , rest. thank you
