Suggest Treatment For Severe Neck Pain Despite Having Physical Therapy

I have severe neck pain. Constantly. I ve done physical therapy. 5 neck/thoracic/ brain MRI to no avail. Massage therapy. Acupuncture. Surgery on my ulnar nerve in right elbow. Pain meds. Lyrica. Muscle relaxers. Anti depressants. You name it. Pain meds help the quality of my life a lot but I do not like being addicted so I stopped them. It feels like my neck is going to break. I ve gone to the emergency room 3 times because the pain is so sever. No one can diagnose me. No one out of 10 doctors can figure it out. I have not seen a auto immune Doc. That s really my last option. My aunt is going through the very same thing. Any ideas?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As first-line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist you can consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan to rule out possible causes like cervical spondylitis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
