Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother is having sever nose bleeds that can not be stopped for more than an hour, She is 74 and has kidney problems and cannot eat red meats, U do not know if this is a med allergy or anemia ot something worse. This has been happenind ecey 2-3 months for over a year.
Nasal bleeding can be from the anterior nasal part or posterior. Can be diagnosed easily as anterior bleeds and posterior bleeds to throat. Its an urgent need for you to stop the bleed.I recommend 1. sit over a chair bending backwards, breathing through the mouth and pinch the nose for some time till the bleeding stops. 2. Do not exert undue pressure like cough and sneeze 3. for posterior bleeding visit a doctor soon 4. Get blood investigation done like Hb, BT CT PT APTT
Hope it helps you STAY FIT
