Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain And Dizziness After A Fall

I fell backwards down a flight of deck stairs, there was a trip step and I didn t realize, pretty bad bruising over right back shoulder scapula, at base of neck top of head, both hips tailbone palm of hand. I just remember my back kept hitting the steps. Dizzy for about an hour, today I am really sore. Taking advil every four hours, hard to move right side.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, if dizziness is significant, neurological examination and any neurological deficit should be ruled out. If so, CT brain may be needed. Radiological evaluation of other injuries with X-rays should also have been done. Meanwhile OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be continued. For severe pain, more potent analgesic like tramadol or gabapentin can be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
