Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain And Popping Sound On The Ribs After An Accident

Hi there. I was in a car accident 5 months ago. Displaced fx of 9th and 10th rib. One month later I was back in hospital with EXCRUCIATING pain. ER took MRI and found that 9th rib was still displaced, no "bony callous". Pain management since. Pain is better than that day but still there contantly. In the last few days I'm hearing a popping/crackling sound in the area of the fx when I sit up straight from a sort of slouched position. Questions are: Is it possible that the rib is still displaced? I've told my docs the proceeding and am told exray no use, it'll grow back together when it does. This is frustrating. Also, why the new sound? It sounds and feels like its moving. I'm still not able to exercise 5 months later and I ran a 10k two weeks before the accident so am used to moving quite a bit. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
