The following are the medications prescribed for knee pain until you go for replacement surgery. 1) NSAIDs like Ibuprofen, Aceclofenac 2)Opioids like Morphine, Codeine 3) Intra articular corticosteroid injections 4) Disease Modifying osteoarthritis drugs - these are the latest and help in regeneration of cartilage with the help of DDS drug delivery systems
