Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pain on the top o my foot and ankle went to walk in urgent medical care did nt take exray doctor moved my foot and twisted it that did nt hurt too much so now its 5 days later he prescribed naproxen and its hurts more the pills don t help with the pain
Naproxen is a non steroidal anti-inflammatory(NSAID) drug that is used to relieve pain from various conditions such as muscle aches, tendonitis, dental pain, and headache. If you are taking correctly naproxen and find it is not working very well for you, I suggest first of all to try a different NSAID and than to consult your local doctor without delay. An ankle X-ray or MRI can be necessary to find an explanation for your pain, to reach the exact diagnosis and only than you can have the right treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Elona Xhardo, Endocrinologist
