Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. About 4 years ago, I had surgery to remove adhesions on my ovaries. Lately, I ve had severe pain in my pelvic area to the point where I can t move and causing me to vomit. I m not pregnant and it s not that time of the month. It doesn t hurt when I urinate and there s no discharge. I was wondering what might be?
To treat severe pain in the pelvic area stay well hydrated, avoid constipation and do not over exaggerate yourself. Take antacids and Baclofen (muscle relaxer and anti-spasmodic), one SOS when required. Severe pain in the pelvic area are commonly due to pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, UTI, ovarian cysts, etc.
Such symptoms can also be due to IBS or gastritis, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist. Get all blood tests done. Get all required imaging tests ( X-ray, CT , MRI, etc) done. Get Urinalysis (R/E and C/S ) done. You will be treated accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
