Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Abdomen While On Tramadol
I have been having a nagging pain in my lower left abdomen. For about 3 yrs. My insurance won t pay for an MRI that my Dr. ordered. I can t pay for one either. The nagging pain is starting to get worse. It hurts more now after I drink a diet soda and sometimes after I eat. I have had bariatric surgery 17 yrs ago. I haven t had any problems with that. I also have really bad back pain for 20 yrs and am on tramadol for it. (I have discs in my back that are deteriated). And bad leg cramps at night. I can t sleep with the pain from it. Any idea what the pain in my left side could be?
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Pains on lower left side of abdomen could be caused by a number of medical conditions some of which are : abdominal infections including inflammatory bowel diseases, urinary tract infections, abdominal cancers and in the cases of women, gynecological infections and pelvic masses. All these many groups of causes may require extensive medical investigations to know the exact cause.I will suggest you get an abdomino-pelvic ultrasound since an MRI or CT scan may be expensive. You will need to see a Doctor for examination and work-up.If the pains is too intense, you may add an antiinflammatory pain medication like ibuprofen to tramadol. Also, you should avoid meals and drink that you feel have been aggravating the pain. Hope my answer will help you Best regards
