General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The fact that the pain had relieved after antibiotic treatment suggests it to be an infective arthritis hip joint. Still confirmation of the guess would be after blood work (TLC, DLC, ESR/test for a rheumatic factor. X-ray or MRI of joint) & Other needful investigations followed by a suitable treatment by a rheumatologist. Rest along with the treatment would help relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
