Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Hip,elbow And Knee

Over this winter I have had strange symptoms, first it started with both knee joints aching. Then both my hips started hurting, both elbows ( cubital tunnel ) and left shoulder. They would come and go but my hips continue to ache. After sitting for a while I have a hard time moving, once up and going I do fine just ache. I am not sure if I should see my regular GP , a Rheumatologist or what ? Can you help me on what might be going on and who I should see about it. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms can be related to rheumatoid arthritis.
I suggest to do an x-ray of the joints and rheumatoid factor blood level.
I also suggest to consult a rheumatologist for further evaluation.
Meanwhile you can take anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
