Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Little Finger

Hi,. I have a ten yr old daughter how was playing a few days ago & sort of caught her hand on her sisters jacket & has complained about the end of her pinky finger hurting ever since... I m just trying to figure out if it could be broken, whether or not I need to have her seen by the pediatrician, & even if broken would they even do anything for that?

Hi,

I do understand your pain and discomfort. As per your history is concerned please do a x-ray to rule out any fracture present. If no fracture is present, immerse the finger in warm water 2-3 times per day and give compression in surgical tapes for ligament injury to be repaired. Add ACEMAC-SP tablet half of adult dose for pain after food (Maximum 2-3 tabs).

I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me. Wishing you all the best.

Thanks,
Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo
