Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Neck And Tingling Sensation In The Wrist

I had a couple of bulging disks, one in my neck and the other in my thoracic area back at the end of July. I had pretty severe pain in my neck, shoulder, arm, hand and ring and pinky finger. I couldn t even sleep at night. Some of the worse pain was in my ulnar nerve in my elbow. Through PT over the last 4 months I have been able to pretty much eliminate the pain in my neck, shoulder and arm. I have lingering numbing, tingling in my wrist, heal of my hand, and the same two fingers. No matter what I try to do, these symptoms remain... some days are better than others... but I just can t seem to eliminate this annoying feeling. Any thoughts? Still related to my neck? Or could it be more of an issue in the wrist?

Hi,

Since you have mentioned that you have neck pain as well as numbness in your hand, it has to be related with nerve compresssion. This occurs mostly due to our lifestyle habits like usage of computers, watching lot of TV, bending while reading.

1) If your problem is severe you need to get X ray investigations done initially, followed by MRI only if required.
2) Do not take analgesics excessively.
3) You need to keep an erect straight posture of your back and neck.
4) Do stretching exercises, when you wake up lie on your chest then using two hand lift yourself up, in a arc like position and then lie down slowly. Repeat his at least ten times daily. This will surely relieve back pain. You can watch online videos for such exercises.
5) If your problem aggravates you need to get yourself physically examined and investigated through radiological methods like x-ray and MRI.

Hope these suggestion help you. Contact for further follow up.

With best regards,
