Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Right Leg

Have pain in right leg, mostly hamstring thru quad. Pain radiates thru leg from foot to Hip joint. If I sit for awhile , it is hard to get back up and put pressure on the leg until after 20-40 steps. If I walk to much and then sit , pain is extremely high throbbing thru whole leg. Ibuprofen does seem to help

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I have gone through your query and here is my advice.

As per your history, it may be due to nerve compression.

For that kindly do MRI lumbar spine with whole spine screening, nerve conduction studies, vit b 12 level after consultation.

Till then you can take tablet Tylenol. Apply diclofenac gel with heating pads. You may require tablet gabapentin.

Use support while walking. Avoid forward bending and squatting position.

I hope I have answered your query and let me know if I can assist you further...

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale
