Hello,

Your pain seems to be due to the following:
1) Lumbar spondylitis
2) Sciatic nerve compression
3) Lumbar disc prolapse

Treatment includes:
1) Pain relieving medication like NSAIDS Ibuprofen or Naproxen daily twice at least for 2 weeks
2) To prevent gastric irritation, tab. Pantop 40 mg is to be taken once before food
3) Opioids can also be taken like Hydrocodone, Oxycodone and Tramadol for pain relief
4) Epidural injection of steroid and local anesthetic can be taken
5) Facet joint injection of steroids is also very helpful. It is done under ultrasound or c arm guidance.
6) Physical therapy includes traction and therapeutic ultrasound and other back muscle strengthening exercises.

You can discuss the above treatment options with your ortho doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

2) Intra-articular corticosteroid injections in lumbar spine facet joints
3) Radiofrequency medial branch neurotomy
4) Sacroiliac joint injections
5) Opioid analgesics can also be taken
