Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Shoulders

Last Wednesday I woke up with pain in my right shoulder. I thought I sleep on my right arm and it was just the way I slept. I tried to shrug the pain away but it stayed. I had a pain in my back shoulder blade it was coming from deep within my shoulder. It was getting worse I can ,t take the pain because now almost a week later the pain is now going down my arm to my elbow and up my neck. I cant get comfortable to relax. I thought it was just be a muscle spas am and it would work its way out but its not. What should I do.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it seems to be muscular pain and may need OTC analgesic like Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen along with muscle relaxants like Tizanidine or Orphenidine. More potent analgesics like Gabapentin may be needed if pain is severe.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
